I've had an interest in typography for as long as I can remember. From practising my handwriting as a child to studying hand lettering for my Graphic Design degree and so I took a couple of classes and took up modern calligraphy as a hobby.

 

After designing my own wedding stationery in 2018, I realised it would be a dream job to be able to create calligraphy full-time so here I am, creating calligraphy everyday with just a nib and ink. I love the human touch of calligraphy, the unique imperfections and perfections, it really does bring so much joy when I write and flourish away.

At Inkscript Studio, I now teach modern calligraphy workshops from children, to adult beginners to improvers. I love sharing the love for this wonderfully meditative hobby and it truly fills me with joy when I see a student click with the technique, creating beautiful flourishes, even surprising themselves! 

 

I also create bespoke items for clients looking for something special as a gift or a treat for themselves. From poems to wedding vows, to song lyrics to recipes, as long as there are words, anything goes!
